Killing Cockroaches by Tony Morgan a Formal Review by CJ Carr

I follow Tony Morgan on twitter and when I saw that I had a chance to get his book for free, I had to jump on it. Right from the beginning I could tell I was going to love every minute of it, but then he threw me for a loop because the book basically consists of a bunch of random ideas thrown together into one book. (In his defense he does preface this in the introduction but it is not what I expect from a book) The book though has such great insights on life, especially when it comes to churches, every aspect of church is mentioned in this book, including the oh so important website building, and since one day I aspire to have a church of my own I found this book to be one awesome read and very insightful. One of my favorite chapters was the one about finding that Mrs. Right. Being a single guy I enjoyed hearing about marriage and about finding that special person that is right for me. If you are looking for a book that has one giant overlying point that is brought together over 200 pages then this probably is not the book for you, but I think YOU should pick up this book because it is 100% pure awesome, especially if you plan to have a church of your own, or just to be a leader in a church because Tony is one of the most brilliant people I know, and New Spring just happens to be one of my favorite churches in the world. So I urge you to pick up a copy of it today, well or at least pre order it, because when I got my sweet PDF copy I could not stop reading it. It is like eating an ever changing piece of fruit, every bite tastes different and that is what I love about this book. Usually books can wear you down, beating the same dead horse they have been talking about for 50 chapters over and over again, but this book is the exception. So please if you are a church leader or wanting to be one, pick this book up because Tony will guide you in the path of an awesome church. It talks about culture and how that affects the church today, unlike the church of the past where the church was the ONLY thing going on, now a days we have to deal with all this extra stuff and we as a church need to break out of the mold and become the church of the present not the church of yester year. Also for all you lifechurch.tv fans out there, there is an interview with Craig Groeschel and many other innovative church leaders, which equals awesome. Overall I would give this book a 4.5/5 stars (I would make a sweet little star thingy, but sadly I do not know how to do that) Great read, Great Insight, Great Guy. Order your copy today at

You won't regret it I promise.

Why keep killing cockroaches, forever bogged down in the mundane and small details, when you could be making a big impact with your leadership and life?
